Scrambling
We provide both scrambling workshops (1–2 days), and guided scrambling experiences. Our scrambling workshops are mostly based in Snowdonia, North Wales, but we also offer our services in Scotland and Ireland. All of our instruction and guiding are on top-class scrambling routes, with immaculate rock and incredible scenery.
Guided Scrambling Experiences
We offer unique guided days out on some of the most stunning and enjoyable scrambles in the UK. The majority of our scrambling workshops are based in Snowdonia, North Wales. Here the scrambling is second to none, with stunning and inspiring routes to explore. We have excellent roadside access to top-quality teaching scrambles, which means more time learning on the rock for you.

Intro to Scrambling Workshop
Our most popular scrambling course is our 2-day intro to scrambling workshop. We run these at both beginner and intermediate levels. Our beginner workshop is suitable for those who are regular mountain walkers with little or no climbing experience and would like to become safe and independent on scrambles on grade 1 terrain.

PREREQUISITES
Hill walking experience is essential. No prior climbing experience necessary.
2 Day Advanced Scrambling Workshop
This is a flexible, unique workshop, aimed at the experienced scrambler. We look at progressing your scrambling onto more technical scrambling terrain such as grade 2/3 scrambles. This two-day workshop can also be tailored for experienced scramblers looking to move their abilities onto grade 3+ terrain and VD climbs. Our instructor-to-student ratio will never be more than 2:1, so our students get our full undivided attention throughout both days.

PREREQUISITES
Experience on scrambles up to grade 1 essential and be comfortable leading VD terrain at single-pitch crags.

“A group of climbers from Limerick Climbing Club travelled to Wales on the weekend of July 23rd-24th and had Jonathan Redmond as our guide and instructor for the two days. Jono has such a passion for his work that anything we needed to learn or improve on was not a problem for him.
We brushed up on technique, climbing skills, rope work, cleaning sport climbing routes, setting up safe top rope belay anchors and belaying a lead climber. The two days spent with Jono went so successfully that we are going to return to Jono with another group from the club, and some weekend groups are returning to do multi-pitch climbing with him again.
If you intend to go to Wales, be sure to look up Jono and Mountain Odyssey for all your climbing needs. I can honestly recommend him. He even helped our group of hikers who came along on the best places to hike as the weather was bad and high mountains could not be accessed.
